Cats the Musical Tickets

Palladium Theatre, London

Cats the Musical has triumphantly returned to London's West End to begin a new run at the London Palladium. It was adapted from TS Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats and brought to the stage by Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Cats first appeared back in 1981 and played a total 21 years or 8,949 performances until 2002. It has since been performed in over 20 countries and thought to have earned over £1 billion at the box office.

It is story of one night at the Jellicle Ball when a clan of cats gather at the old rubbish dump. Old Deuteronomy, the clan elder, must choose the most deserving cat to hold the honour of being reborn into a new life on the Heaviside Layer.

The cats are introduced one by one, offering insights into their personalities until the stage is filled with marvellous moggies of all shapes and sizes. Here we find Rum Tum Tugger, the pop idol cat, and the mischievous pussies Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer. We graciously greet the return of Grizabella, but lower your voice if you ever mention Macavity, the feline of depravity.

Cats the Musical is a fantastical furry journey, a delightful celebration of long tales and bushy whiskers. If you missed the production the first time round, consider one of your nine lives lost. Book immediately to witness this extraordinary revival at the London Palladium.
