The Les Misérables musical will be reopening at the Sondheim Theatre (formerly The Queen’s Theatre) in London’s West End on the 18th December 2019. Watch the new production of the iconic West End musical at this prestigious London theatre house. Les Misérables brings French novelist Victor Hugo’s book to life with a sung-through adaptation of the classic storyline.
Watch as the hero and reformed convict, Jean Valjean and his police inspector nemesis, Javert, grapple with themes of social justice, human rights and class struggle set during France’s June Rebellion / Student Uprising of the 1830s. Fall in love with tragic characters, like Fantine and Eponine as the story unfolds in a sweeping saga of personal loss, tragedy and redemption.
Featuring all the most popular songs, like ‘I Dreamed a Dream’, Master of the House’, ‘Bring Him Home’ and ‘Castle on a Cloud.’

The Les Misérables musical made its first West End appearance in 1985. It has run continuously, across the globe, ever since. It is estimated to have been seen by 120 million people in 52 countries, in more than 22 languages.
The musical was adapted for the stage by Claude-Michel Schönberg, Jean-Marc Natel, Herbert Kretzmer and Alain Boublil. Cameron Mackintosh’s acclaimed new production will open at the newly refurbished Sondheim Theatre (formerly the Queen’s Theatre) later this year.
