Slacker Dewey Finn dreams of becoming a rock star, but life forces him to get a real job and he decides to make some cash by posing as a teacher at an upmarket prep school. It doesn’t take long before Dewey chucks out the algebra and English lessons and starts teaching the kids how to become the ultimate rock band.

Can Dewey take the band to success in the upcoming Battle of the Bands competition and will he be able to fool the headmistress and parents for long?

Technical Personnel

Based on the book by Julian Fellowes, musical score by legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber (Phantom of the Opera & Cats) and lyrics by Glenn Slater. The cast features Noel Sullivan as Dewey and includes Laura Tebbut as Rosalie Mullins. Supporting cast includes Mark Anderson, Rebecca LaChance and Jake Sharp.

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday: 7:30pm
Thursday and Saturday matinees: 2:30pm
Sunday: 3:00pm

There are no shows on Tuesdays.

Additional Information

School of Rock the musical is not suited for children under 6 years as it contains occasional strong language and is not deemed suitable for very young children. All customers must have their own ticket and babies in arms are not allowed in the Gillian Lynne Theatre.

Please note that the show uses smoke effects and strobe lighting during the performance.

The Gillian Lynne Theatre is conveniently located to the following tube stations: Holburn (Piccadilly and Central Lines) and Covent Garden (Piccadilly Line).
